05O1707( 4)            An Ordinance by Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee amending the (Inter-governmental Grant Fund) Budget, Department of Police, and correcting Ordinance Number 05O1135by anticipating and appropriating grant funds from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $493,673.00 for the purchase of Homeland Security Equipment for the Atlanta Police Department; and for other purposes.

05-O-1708 ( 5)            An Ordinance by Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee supplementing the terms and conditions contained in Ordinance Number 05O1059pertaining to the designation of the Atlanta Police Department as the Federal Grant Pass Through Agency for high intensity drug trafficking area funds to fund multijurisdictional efforts to curtail drug trafficking in the Metropolitan Atlanta area, by authorizing the use of $160,000.00 from the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization (RICO) Funds within the Trust Fund Accounts; and for other purposes.

05-O-1711 ( 6)            A Substitute Ordinance by Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee amending the 2005 (Inter-governmental Grant Fund) Budget, Department of Police, by adding to anticipations and appropriations in the amount of $8,000.00 from the United States Secret Service resulting from an agreement to reimburse the Atlanta Police Department for expenses stemming from participation in the Atlanta Electronic Crimes Task Force; and for other purposes.

FINANCE/EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - DEBI STARNES, CHAIR

05O1717( 7)            A Substitute Ordinance by Finance/Executive Committee to replace Ordinance 05O1122adopted July 5, 2005 and approved by the Mayor on July 12, 2005.  The replacement is necessary to include required Technical Language to the Ninth Supplemental Bond Ordinance 05-O-1122.

05R1769( 2)            A Resolution by City Utilities Committee authorizing the Mayor or her designee to issue a Notice to Proceed with Shaw Environmental, Inc./AIM Partner, PLC, Joint Venture, for FC-7619-03F, Annual Contract for Architectural and Engineering Services, for the paving effort of seven (7) unpaved streets to include Surveys, Public Information, Preparation of Design Concepts, Construction Documents, Landscape Plans and Right-of-Way Acquisition Services, on behalf of the Department of Public Works in an amount not to exceed $511,428.00.  All contracted work shall be charged to and paid from Various Fund, Account and Center Numbers.

05R1810( 3)            A Resolution by City Utilities Committee to rescind Resolution No. 04R2214adopted by the City Council on December 06, 2004 and approved by the Mayor on December 10, 2004.  Furthermore, this Resolution authorizes the Mayor or her designee to enter into Amendment Agreement No. 4 with Bankhead Contracting, Inc., for FC-7700-04, Annual Contract for Asphalt Resurfacing and Milling on behalf of the Department of Watershed Management (“DWM”) in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00.  The scope of work will include the Department of Watershed Management (“DWM”) as an additional user, increase the scope of work to include street cuts and include a new unit pricing form for paving services (attached as Exhibit A).  All contracted work shall be charged to and paid from Various Fund, Account and Center Numbers.

05-R-1819 ( 4)            A Resolution by Councilmember Clair Muller as substituted by City Utilities Committee authorizing the Mayor or designee to into an appropriate contractual agreement with Tople Construction and Engineering, Inc. for FC-3005007875, West Paces Ferry Road, Construction of Sidewalks, Curbs, Driveways and Ramps on behalf of the Department of Public Works in an amount not to exceed $442,607.50.  All contracted work shall be charged to and paid from Various Fund, Account and Center Numbers.

05R1854( 5)       ***       An Amended Resolution by City Utilities Committee    authorizing the Mayor or her designee the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works to on behalf of the City enter into a Consent Order and to authorize payment of penalties imposed by the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Georgia in the amount of $50,000.00 for alleged violations of the Georgia Rules and Regulations for Solid Waste Management and in the amount of $100,000.00 should this additional penalty become due and payable under the Administrative Consent Order; to identify the source of funding; and for other purposes.
